[IoT Implementation Case] Plant Cultivation Data Management System
Visualizing change history as a flowchart! A case study of introducing IoT into a plant cultivation data management system.
We would like to introduce a case study of IoT implementation at the Tottori University Dryland Research Center's Dryland Plant Resource Bank. ■Issues | Difficulty in Data Transfer One of the challenges in managing plant tissue culture is the frequent need to transfer plants to different containers as they grow, along with the increase in numbers with each generation. In such situations, managing generations becomes complicated, and transferring data requires significant effort. ■Digital Management through IoT Implementation! | Data Transfer of Culture Medium and Changes in Culture Conditions in Plant Tissue Culture To address this, we customized a system that assigns management codes to the plants being cultured, allowing for easy transfer of that information to the next cultured plants. This enables users to retrieve information about the cultured plants simply by entering the management code, reducing the effort involved in data entry. ■Search Back Through the History of Plant Tissue Culture Growth! Knowing the history of plant tissue culture growth is an important factor in understanding the growth and developmental status of the plants being cultured. By tracking management history, we can grasp growth patterns and adaptability to the environment of the cultured plants, which can help establish optimal management methods.
